Review: Book of Mormon

Image found here
I have heard good things about The Book of Mormon ever since the musical first came out in 2011. But I only recently got around to seeing it when it came to the Kennedy Center in D.C. The show is most well-known for the fact that it was written by the creators of South Park, and that it is offensive and off-color (just like the TV show). But as long as you already know that and keep it in mind, you can find the performance funny and tongue-in-cheek instead of distasteful. I found the show hilarious! It was so well-cast, it's very creative, and while I'm usually not into musicals, I thought the songs were funny and clever.

I wanted to share with you videos of the musical numbers, but of course none of them are from the show I saw. Each one has its own distinct flavor! But here are most (if not all) of the songs. I apologize if they are in the wrong order...

It's not too late to see the show! Get tickets here to see it at the Kennedy Center.
