I hadn't been to Wolf Trap all summer, so when a friend invited me to join a One Table Shabbat dinner at a concert, I was all in. Picnicking is my second favorite summer activity, just after sunbathing. I couldn't wait!
I was already looking forward to the meal and the venue, so I didn't really care who was performing. But I got to see Phillip Phillips (who I was mixing up with Wilson Phillips, so imagine my surprise when it was a young man and not three women) and Gavin DeGraw (whom I had seen twice already: once during the 2015 Winter Classic and when he opened for Shania Twain). So I was there more for the whole experience than the music itself.
His drummer was having the time of his life! |
Home (his biggest hit)
Raging Fire
Magnetic
And some of Gavin DeGraw's music (I forgot how many romantic songs he has):
Not Over You
In Love with a Girl
Follow Through
Best I Ever Had
I Don't Want to Be (This is probably his most famous song. He said he wrote it when he was broke and angry, and he's neither now, but people love the song.)
She Sets the City on Fire
Chariot (maybe this one is most famous?)
AND the rain held out for us, even though we were watching lightning storms throughout the show. Such a fun night!
